With the emergence of more media streaming platforms and more users switching from cable to streaming services, samsung has launched a service called samsung TV Plus for its smart TV.

The service is free to customers in the United States and Canada and offers more than 100 TV channels over the Internet. But the company appears to be planning to expand it and extend it to smartphone users.

According to the report, samsung's free TV Plus streaming service is available to smartphone users through mobile apps and is likely to be unique to the south Korean giant's Galaxy line. This makes sense, given that TV services are also limited to the company's own smart TVS.

The report adds that the samsung TV Plus for mobile devices will have the same features as the service on samsung smart TVS. Users will be able to watch live TV channels and access video on demand (VOD) content.
