NearLink technology, developed domestically in China, represents a new generation of short-range wireless connectivity. It boasts low latency, high concurrency, high throughput, high reliability, anti-interference, and precise synchronization. According to Yu Chengdong, compared to traditional wireless connections, NearLink reduces power consumption by 60%, increases data transmission rates by 6 times, decreases latency by 1/30, and supports 10 times more connections.

As per the official specifications, this TV box features an ARM quad-core A53 CPU clocked at 1.5GHz, supporting secure boot and secure upgrade. Its GPU supports OpenGLES 2.0 or equivalent performance standards.

Moreover, the TV box comes equipped with 2GB DDR4 memory with a speed of up to 2133MT/s and offers 8GB of storage. It supports various video encoding and decoding modes, including H.265, while audio decoding supports MPEG1 Layer 1/2/3 and several other formats.

A new 4K TV box from Skyworth? Interesting, but I haven't heard much about their products lately. What are the advantages of NearLink technology compared to other streaming devices?

Skyworth is really pushing this NearLink technology, but what exactly does it do? Is it just a fancy name for Bluetooth or something more advanced?

Skyworth TVs are known for being affordable, so I hope this NearLink TV box follows the same trend. If the price is right and the features are good, it could be a compelling option.
