I bought an IKEA bulb and button for my folks not knowing that they require IKEA's smart hub to work-- but the hub isn't super in budget for me ATM. My dad is vision impaired and struggles with phones/voice command tech so I thought a remote or button would be the most accessible for him. Does anyone have recommendations for smart bulbs that can pair with remotes that DON'T require a hub router login 192.168.l.l.link/ ?
Alternatively, I use a Sengled and Geeni bulb in my house and was thinking of giving them one of those, buying a similar external controller instead, but it looks like they might also require hubs.
