Recently, Sony TV has launched Sony's exclusive XR cognitive chip TV, which has achieved a very high level of picture quality. So, what kind of peak picture quality will the world's first XR cognitive chip combined with the QD-OLED panel TV XR-65A95K produce? Let's compare the Sony A95K and the Sony A90J and see the difference.

Compared with OLED display panels, the improvement of QD-OLED display panel in brightness and color gamut capability can be seen at a glance through the comparison of the first four groups.

In terms of the picture quality performance of TVs, it is generally accepted in the industry that the panel quality determines the lower limit of TV picture quality, and the chip tuning determines the upper limit of TV picture quality. On the basis of more ideal brightness and color, combined with the processing of the XR cognitive chip, the QD-OLED presents pictures with very light texture and bright colors.

Observing the real shots of the first three groups of high-light scenes, the higher brightness and color gamut of the XR-65A95K on the left render a transparent and bright visual experience. In terms of the color of the characters' skin and the flowers in their hands, it is obviously easier to gain the favor of the naked eye. In contrast, the rendering effect of the XR-65A90J is inevitably a little colder.

In the last set of real-shot dark night scenes, the improvement brought by high brightness and color capabilities is still obvious, and the two products are also excellent in controlling dark content.

It should be noted here that the XR-65A95K in the picture is an engineering prototype, not a mass-produced model for final sale, and some of the tuning functions and screen effects are not yet final. The output image modes of both products are "bright", however, the advantages of QD-OLED are already quite obvious.

Overall, we can give the following evaluations of QD-OLED and Sony XR-65A95K. The addition of QD quantum dots effectively improves the brightness level of the OLED panel and further improves the coverage of the output color gamut. In the actual experience of high-light scenes, it has the level of benchmarking high-end LCD TV products. With the support of high brightness and color gamut, the advantages of pure dark field performance are more obvious.

It can be seen that the image quality evaluation of the Sony XR-65A95K is very high. And this result is not even unexpected, after all, Sony has always been a benchmark in the performance of TV audio and picture quality. So another question comes, what are the highlights of the Sony XR-65A95K?

1. Sony XR-65A95K with BRAVIA camera

The BRAVIA camera is a new accessory that Sony TV highlighted when it first exposed 2022 products at CES. The XR-65A95K uses a magnetic BRAVIA camera solution.

With this camera, users can implement active functions such as making and receiving video calls, gesture control, etc. And the TV will also collect positioning information through the camera. Combined with the audience's orientation, the TV's sound output and other conditions are corrected to ensure that the user always obtains the best audio-visual effect.

According to Sony, more interactive functions combined with the BRAVIA camera are currently under development and will continue to surprise users.

2. Sony XR-65A95K Remote Control

The traditional remote control design is one of the few shortcomings of Sony TVs, and the new version of the remote control released this time is completely subversive.

The number of buttons is greatly reduced, the grip is excellent, and the exquisite button backlight design allows users to press the wrong button in a dark room.

In addition to this, there is a built-in buzzer. When you can't find the remote control, you can quickly find it through TV voice search. Such shape changes and ingenious functions redefine the concept of Sony TV remote control. The remote might even become a big selling point for Sony TVs for those with elderly people or children at home.
