During the recent CCXP 23 event in Brazil, Phil Spencer, the CEO of Microsoft Gaming, revealed that "Starfield," since its release on September 6th this year, has garnered a player base exceeding 12 million on both PC and Xbox platforms. Spencer emphasized that the game continues to rank among the top 10 most popular titles within their studio.

In late October, Microsoft had announced that "Starfield" had surpassed 11 million players. This indicates an impressive growth of one million players in just the past month.

Simultaneously, according to Bethesda's previous statements, "Starfield" is expected to receive substantial ongoing support, with around 250 developers still actively working on the game.

Anticipation is building for the game's comprehensive Mod support slated for 2024, and the first expansion, titled "Shattered Space," is currently in development.
It's worth noting that "Starfield," being a first-party game, has been available on the Game Pass library since its launch. A considerable portion of the 12 million players can be attributed to Game Pass. Additionally, SteamChart data reveals that in the last 30 days, the average online player count on Steam for "Starfield" was 19,763. The game experienced a decrease of 97,000 players from September to October, followed by a loss of 28,000 from October to November, and a marginal decline of 539 players from November till now.

The success of "Starfield" in accumulating over 12 million players within three months demonstrates its widespread popularity and the positive reception it has received from the gaming community. With ongoing development efforts and future expansions, the game seems poised to maintain its momentum and engage players in the evolving universe of "Starfield."
