6I have set the Time & Date auto-synchronization settings to ON thinking that it gets the time from the internet since it is connected to my WiFi. However, I found out that it syncs to what the TV station that I am currently tuned to is broadcasting. Since here in the Philippines, the digital TV standard (ISDB-T) is still in its early stages, most TV stations are not broadcasting the correct time and date. There is even a station that broadcast the date as January 1970. I could prevent this from happening if I turn the auto-synchronization off and just set the time manually. However, the time would be off when the TV gets unplugged or if there's a power outage.
Is there a way that I could set the TV to sync the time from an internet time server instead of the TV broadcast?
