The Apple Watch Series 6, which Apple plans to upgrade this year, may not have a Micro-LED display, but will use the same vendor and display technology as its predecessor, the Series 5.

Rumors have been circulating for a long time that Apple will introduce a new display technology into the Apple Watch. Many of them point to the Micro-LED screen, which Apple is said to be exploring for mass production. This year's new Apple Watch is considered one of the earliest Apple devices to use the technology. The Apple Watch Series 6 is expected to be released in the fall with other major new products like the iPhone 12 Series, and there are several upgrades, but the screen doesn't appear to be included in the changes.

User L0vtoDream tweeted that the Apple Watch S6 will continue to use JDI's Display, referring to Apple's Display panel supplier Japan Display Inc, which previously supplied OLED screens for the Series 5. JDI reportedly received a $936 million bailout in January, followed by a $200 million investment from apple.

If it is true, it means the Apple Watch Series 6 Series is likely to be similar in size compared to 5th generation, which was updated last year with an LTPO OLED all-weather retina display that allows you to check the time and other information without lifting your wrist or touching the screen.
