The Vizio M Series Quantum is a mid-range 4k Vizio TV, and it directly replaces the Vizio M Series 2018. The M Series Quantum's main competitors are the Samsung RU8000, Sony X850F, and LG SM8600.

Vizio TV M series Quantum TV Short Review: Pros and Cons

The Vizio TV M Series Quantum has an outstanding native contrast ratio 7000 : 1 which results in excellent deep blacks, great for dark-room viewing. The M series have decent peak HDR brightness, outstanding black uniformity.

Vizio talks about a 120Hz effective refresh rate, but the hardware refresh rate is actually 60Hz. It doesn't have a motion interpolation feature as well.

480p Input
The Vizio TV M Series Quantum isn't upscaled as well as most TVs. Not everyone will be bothered by this, but it can be noticeable.

720p Input
The TV is decently upscaled but a bit worse than most other TVs.

1080p Input
Playing Blu-rays or older consoles, the TV is upscaled nearly perfectly, and looks almost identical to 4k content.

4k Input
The Vizio TV M Series is displayed perfectly, with no pixel issues or sub-pixel dimming. The TV has an excellent response time. There's some slight overshoot in most transitions, but this isn't very noticeable.

As for video sources, the M series includes over 150 channels - news, sports, movies, TV shows, music, and the best of the internet. No fees, subscriptions or logins. You can watch almost any contend on the large screen TV by casting with Apple AirPlay or SmartCast or Chromecast built-In.
