In 2014, Google launched Android TV, a TV system based on Android, which can be understood as a "reborn and optimized version" of Google TV. Android TV is a smart TV operating system developed specifically for smart tvs hardware devices such as smart TV set-top boxes, all-in-one sets, and TV sticks.

In terms of content and apps, Android TV integrates a huge amount of content and apps, including more than 7,000 apps, 85 live TV channels, and over 700,000 movies and shows. These content sources are provided by a wide range of streaming providers, live on-demand channels, and game developers to meet the diverse content needs of users.

In terms of functionality, Android TV has a built-in Chromecast function that allows users to quickly project photos, videos, music, and other content from other devices onto the large smart screen (i.e., screencasting function). In terms of operation, it has a built-in Google Assistant, which allows users to use voice commands to control smart TV products equipped with the system and other Google smart home products embedded with Google Assistant by simply saying "Ok Google" or pressing and holding the microphone button on the remote control.

In addition, both Chromecast and Android TV work with Google Home, a smart speaker that can be used to wake up the TV Smart Screen service by opening the Google Home app on the smartphone and adding the TV Smart Screen to its control device.
