DCI-P3 is a wide color gamut standard introduced by the U.S. film industry, covering a larger color area, with a wider range of greens and reds compared to the sRGB standard. Devices supporting DCI-P3 will be closer to the actual effect of theatrical projection and more realistically present all the colors to be presented in a movie.

DCI-P3 is a color gamut that focuses more on visual impact than on color comprehensiveness. DCI-P3 is most widely used by Apple, and all Apple products after 16 years are supported by DCI-P3. Generally, support 95% P3 color gamut is the top display.

Color gamut is the method of encoding a color and also refers to the sum of colors that a technical system can produce. Simply put, it is the area that can be covered in a color. The reason why most people say "color gamut" instead of "color space" is because "gamut" is a mathematical term that better reflects the fact that there is a range of different colors.
