What is the difference between two types of 0.47 inch DMD chips

In the projector industry, true or false 4K has become the most concerned problem for users. Among them, the projector chip is directly related to the resolution of the projector picture quality, but one of the most controversial is the 0.47 inch DMD chip, carefully looked at the official information given by the official website of TI. There are a lot of doors in a 0.47 inch DMD chip.

There are two types of 0.47 inch DMD chips: 0.47 inch DMD 1080P and 0.47 inch DMD 4K. There's still a big gap between the two. Let's move on.

The DMD 1080P is 0.47 inch. Two models can be found on the official website of Ti, one is DLP4710, the other is DLP470NE. Although both are 0.47 inch, the difference between the two is not small. Look from the parameter, when Mr Projection DLP4710, as for adopting DLP470NE machine like how haven't seen on the market at present, with high brightness light source after the machine cost is much higher than DLP4710, personal guess even higher than talking about 0.47 inches below the dmo 4 k cost of the whole machine, so do not please painfully, no manufacturer is willing to do.

0.47 inch DMD 4K, this is a chip that has not been on the market for a long time. The original resolution of this chip is 1920X1080. TI is 4K achieved by using XPR technology, which is also known as "shake 4K" by some people. I wrote about it in the previous article, but I won't repeat it here. In Ti website also can check the two models, DLP470TP and DLP470TE model just sent a letter, but the gap between the actual performance is also very big, only 1500 lumens DLP470TP design maximum brightness, basic is only applicable to micro, and maximum lumen DLP470TE design can support to 4000 lumens, DLP470TE large-scale application in the 4 k of traditional home theater projectors models above, BenQ W1700, Optoma 528 etc. The machine is done with DLP470TE the DMD.

So, the 0.47-inch DMD chip directly affects not only the quality of the projector, but also its brightness.
