The projector used in cinema is digital movie projectors, generally use DLP display technology which is mainly 3DLP and SXRD display technology.
Digital movie projectors are very different compared to home projectors, first of all, digital movie projectors may be three times the size of home projectors, and the resolution can reach 4K or higher 8K, while home projectors are generally 1080P or false 4K. But of course, the movie projectors are much more expensive.
