Will the projector save power under low brightness?

The projector is adjusted to the brightest, will it affect the life of the lamp? Many friends who use the projector will have this question. The bulb is a more important equipment component in the projector , and special attention should be paid to maintenance during use. At present, projectors, especially smart projection, are more widely used LED lamps with a life of more than 10,000 hours, although the life of the bulb is longer than the original traditional projector , But there are still many people who worry about using too much and choose a relatively low brightness mode. If the projector adjust to highlight mode, will it shorten the service life?

Will the projector save power under low brightness?

In fact, the adjustment of the LED projection to the highlight mode belongs to the adjustment of the projection function, which has little effect on the life of the lamp. In comparison, the following two points will have a greater impact on the life of the projection lamp:
  1. Use of power supply; use of unmatched or unstable power supply will affect the normal use of the lamp;
  2. Ambient temperature; dust accumulation, high temperature, and poor heat dissipation conditions will reduce the service life of the bulb;

So, when you use the projector to lower the brightness and dim the screen, can you save more power?

At this time we need to understand the [power consumption] of the projector: Generally speaking, the power consumption and brightness of the projector are related to the projection size and resolution.
If it is a commercial projector, the power consumption is usually large, mostly around 150W ~ 300W. The home LED projector is very power-saving, the power may be 10W, the more high-end models will not exceed 150W, and the mercury lamp bulb projector is relatively expensive, at least 100W.

When using a projector, the brightness adjustment has little effect on the power consumption. The power consumption of the projector is the same when it is working. Therefore, you do not need to deliberately lower the brightness to save power.
