For years, it was SONY's PlayStation that balanced the competition between the two consoles. This is not only in popularity or sales, or in terms of performance, are there for all to see.
Xbox fans may disagree, but rest assured that I'm not saying the difference between the two is too great, because it's so small. Former SONY developers have shown that the XBox can eventually surpass the PlayStation. If we believe SONY's former employees, the next generation of consoles could change all that.
Chris Grannell has spent about 15 years at SONY's European headquarters, working on video game innovations for PlayStation and other platforms. So it's safe to say that Chris knows something about performance technology. Just a month ago, Grannell tweeted something that worried PlayStation fans.
