Before the release of the next-generation console PlayStation 5, Sony revealed that Sony PS4 sales had exceeded the 110 million mark. PS5 will be released soon, Sony PS4 sales have exceeded 110 million units.

This Sony PS4 figure was disclosed by Sony through the latest financial report. The financial report shows that although the sales of Sony PS4 are still strong, with the end of this generation of consoles, Sony PS4 sales have begun to slow down. Nonetheless, Sony PS4 sales are expected to increase slightly after the release of the second part of Naughty Dog's "The Last Survivor" and "Ghost of Tsushima".
As for Sony's profit breakdown, game console sales accounted for only 19% of net sales . PlayStation Plus and PlayStation Now account for 17%, Sony PS4 peripherals account for 7%, packaged game sales account for 6%, and 51% of sales come from digital game sales, DLC and micro-transactions.
For comparison, Microsoft ’s Xbox One console sales are estimated to be much lower than Sony PS4. Although Microsoft refused to release its sales figures for game consoles, it estimated that Xbox One sales were only 46.84 million units.
