YGSKK Mini vs HAPPRUN H1 vs Magcubic HY350Max: Which Sub-$100 Budget Projector Actually Delivers?

Alright, been digging through Amazon for a decent cheap projector for my bedroom setup, and I’ve narrowed it down to three. Prices and ratings are from Amazon as I type this. Let’s get into it.

First up, the **YGSKK Mini Projector** at $69.98. It’s got 4.5 stars from 911 ratings, and claims Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.3. The title says “1080P support” and “Electric Focus,” but let’s be real—at this price, that’s likely not native 1080P. Most sub-$70 projectors use a lower-res LCD panel and upscale. The feature bullets are copy-pasted twice, which is a red flag for quality control. It does mention 10K+ bought in the past month, so it’s popular, but that screams “cheap and fast-moving” more than “good.” If you just want something to cast a blurry movie on the ceiling before sleep and have zero expectations, this might work. Skip it if you care about sharpness or brightness—no native resolution or lumens listed.

Next, the **HAPPRUN H1** at $84.93. This one has 4.4 stars from 3061 ratings—way more reviews, which builds confidence. The title says “Native 1080P Full HD Resolution,” and that’s a big deal at this price. They’re claiming true 1920x1080, not just support. It’s mini and portable, with built-in speaker and easy setup. No Wi-Fi or Bluetooth mentioned in the title or specs, so you’re looking at wired connections only (HDMI, USB). 7K+ bought in the past month. This seems like the safer bet for someone who wants actual HD clarity for movie nights indoors or outdoors, without smart features. Downside: no wireless casting, so you’ll need a streaming stick or laptop.

Finally, the **Magcubic HY350Max** at $99.99, 4.4 stars from 702 ratings. This one’s the priciest but has the most features: Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.4, native 1080P, and claims 4K/8K support (which is just decoding, not display—your eyes won’t see 8K on a $100 projector). They list “600 ANSI” lumens, which is actually a real brightness spec—rare in this range. Also has auto focus and obstacle avoidance. 300+ bought in the past month, so less popular but higher spec. If you want smart features built-in (no separate stick) and decent brightness for a small room, this might be worth the extra $15 over the HAPPRUN.

So here’s my take: the YGSKK is a gamble for the lowest price. The HAPPRUN is the most trusted pick for pure image quality at a budget, but no wireless. The Magcubic gives you smart features and real ANSI lumens, but fewer reviews and higher price. Which one would you guys grab, or has anyone used any of these? I’m leaning toward the HAPPRUN for reliability, but curious about the Magcubic’s auto focus in practice.

I’ve been eyeing the YGSKK Mini too, but I’m holding off until more long-term reviews come in. The copy-paste specs worry me about actual build quality.

You need to factor in throw distance. Some of these can’t focus unless you’re 10 feet back, which killed my bedroom setup. Measure your wall distance first.

The YGSKK Mini looks like a repeat of their older HD-1 model. I had that one, died after 3 months. Cheap lens, terrible color. Maybe they fixed it, but I’d be cautious.
