You will have to watch Fear Street on Netflix

Netflix purchased the Fear Street trilogy from Disney, adapted from R.L. Stine's teen horror series, directed by Leigh Janiak. The three complete movies were produced by Chenin Entertainment on Fox, with the goal of each movie being released one month apart. The film has been filmed in Georgia since last year and was originally scheduled to be released in June 2020, but the film was cancelled after the COVID-19 pandemic closed the theater.

Disney acquired Fox's feature film assets last year, including Fear Street. The Fear Street series of novels are set in the fictional city of Charlotte, Ohio. The first New Girl was published in 1989. It tells the story of a high school student who fell in love with the new girl without knowing whether she was real. The student eventually returned to her home on Fear Street, but was told by her brother that she was actually dead.

The film covers three different periods, including the 17th century. The cast includes Kiana Madeira, Olivia Welch, Benjamin Flores Jr., Ashley Zukerman, Fred Hechinger, Julia Rehwald and Jeremy Ford.

Netflix has become a major buyer of finished Hollywood movies. At present, fans are not sure whether they will return to physical theaters due to the ongoing pandemic. The streaming company has recently been negotiating to buy Amy Adams' thriller The Woman in the Window, another Disney high-profile film developed by Fox. It also acquired Martin Scorsese's Oscar-nominated The Irishman.
