Amazon Alexa can now recognize different sounds

Amazon recently released an update that allows its digital assistant Alexa to distinguish different sounds, a feature that will appeal to homes with multiple Echo speakers. Multiple users can now talk to Alexa on the Echo speaker or any other device with Alexa built in, because she knows she will be able to identify different users by their unique voice features.

This is especially handy in multi-family situations where each user has their own personalized shopping list, music choices, etc.

TechCrunch, points out that the function in the release with Flash Briefings, shopping, Amazon Music family planning and Alexa to Alexa call compatible, and add the name of a particular user into electricity.

In the future, "more unspecified features" will be added to make Alexa smarter and smarter as people use it more and more.

According to the full instructions on Amazon's website, you simply click "your voice" in the Settings screen of the Alexa application and speak out a series of commands to help the system set up your voice profile and sync it with your Amazon account preferences.

Alexa is also built into Amazon's iOS store App and can be downloaded from the App Store for free.

Google introduced the same feature in its home brand of smart speakers back in April. Apple's Siri currently lacks similar features, but with HomePod's wireless speaker due out in December, I think they may be in use.

After all, Cupertino has a patent that allows Siri to verify your unique voice to ensure that she responds to you (and only to you).
