We will have decried his absence at the launch of New Horizons, it is now corrected. The update to version 1.2.0 now includes the character of Redd, this art trickster who will occasionally dock on the island of players to offer them for sale masterpieces and exceptional sculptures to to fill the new section of the museum dedicated to works of art. But beware, because Redd is not entirely honest and counterfeits are hiding among his merchandise. We tell you more about how to spot them.

Redd: Collect works of art
A few hours after the deployment of this new update, Redd went to the players' islands to offer them his services. Because your avatar inspires him with a great deal of sympathy, Redd offers, good as a trader as Redd is, a discount of 4,980 bells for the works that you can acquire from him. The first is necessarily an original, but beware, later, it will slip counterfeit works that we will have to learn to spot.
Like any itinerant merchant, Redd will come randomly to your island. Unlike the others who display their wares, Redd wisely stays aboard his boat, docked on the secret beach of your island which is on the North side, where most of the hill times. To access it, you must have left a little room to install a ramp going down directly to your secret beach, or at least one free space to place your ladder.
Once on board, Redd welcomes the player and places at his disposal four works, canvas or mixed sculpture. The player can only buy one per day - in the case where one bought on his island and the fox is also located on a friend's island, it is impossible to acquire a work there - so be careful.
For decoration enthusiasts, there are also two pieces of furniture. Once the 4,980 bells have been paid, Redd only supplies the work by mail. We must therefore wait until the next day to go and entrust it to Thibou, the museum's curator, who will be responsible for verifying its authenticity.
There are more than forty works to collect at the museum
Know how to recognize counterfeits
This fine rogue may show his white paw, we know perfectly well that a large part of the works circulating at Rounard are not necessarily original. Fortunately, and despite the darkness of the hold of his small ship, it is possible to examine each canvas or sculpture closely to ensure its authenticity. Because not everyone is an expert on the subject, you should not hesitate to use a second screen to compare Rounard's merchandise with the original work on the Internet. Next comes a game of 7 differences game to find disparities between the two. Whether it is a clearly visible part of the painting, a shade of color or a very small detail, you have to open your eyes to avoid being trapped.
