In December last year, I was very happy to purchase a BenQ flagship 4K Laser projector. Unfortunately, the color wheel parameters of that BenQ LK990 had problems at that time. After returning the model, I have been using the same factory's entry-level 1080P Benq W1070+. Of course, I have been looking forward to the launch of a 4K HDR projector with the same projection distance as W1070.

In November last year, there was news that BenQ would launch a new 0.47 DMD 4K short-throw Benq w2700 projector that supports HDR10 and HLG, as well as coverage of wide color gamut and auto iris functions, but its positioning is entry-level. At that time, I was only waiting for the flagship LK990, so I was not interested.

After waiting and waiting, the W2700 demo machine is finally available some time ago, and I am impressed! I have been waiting for a 4K projector for too long, and I thought that if the effect is not bad, I would immediately take one away. After arriving at the store, a guest was already watching W2700. At that time, Panther’s 4K shadow plate was playing. With the help of the OS 2.7 gain screen, the performance of W2700 was very good. Ask the merchant if they have any stock, and the merchant will reply next week. Just wait! I saw the LK990 again at the scene. The performance of the normal LK990 is of course much better than that of the W2700, but considering the price and pitch, it is still W2700.

I received the Benq w2700 on Monday so go pick up the model immediately! Only a few Benq w2700s were placed underground at the site, and they are still out of stock. Choose one of them! I believe that many of my friends are hoping that short-throwing Benq w2700 4K projectors will come out soon. The shortest transmittance of this machine is only 1.13x. What is the concept of 1.13x? It can project a 120-inch picture at a 10-foot throw distance. , This is exactly the pitch distance the author needs.

This is a Benq w2700 calibration report provided by the manufacturer, which confirms that this machine is tested to be 100% Rec 709 in D-Cinema mode and 95% DCI-P3 in User mode when it leaves the factory. DCI can be achieved at this price. -P3 can be said to be great.

Looking at the picture below, you can see the difference in size from BenQ w1070+. The size of the Benq w2700 is much larger. I believe it is to add filters for wide color gamut and increase heat dissipation space. Of course, thanks to the Benq w1070's serving for so many years

Essentially, the W2700 is a hero product for the 4K projector era and a direct successor to the popular W1070. ... It uses the same throw distance so you don't need to change screens and can put the newer projector in the same location as your current W1070.
