According to SteamDB, the source code of Valve's "Fortress 2" and "CS: GO" was leaked on Apr 23. When the leak just happened, players worried that this would lead to a lot of cheating and security risks such as malicious remote attacks. Many related game communities have chosen to temporarily shut down, and warned players not to play these two works online for the time being, and uninstall the game if necessary.

However, Valve subsequently said that there is no need to panic: "We have reviewed the leaked code. This is part of the" CS: GO "code we sent to our partners at the end of 2017, and the leak occurred in 2018. Through this review, we have not found any reason for players to abandon the current version (of course, they need to run on the official uniform to ensure maximum safety). We will continue to investigate and update the players and the media in a timely manner."
