Mini LED TV test methods mainly include brightness and peak brightness, brightness uniformity, grayscale uniformity, static contrast, white balance accuracy, color gamut coverage, redisplay rate, sharpness, scene contrast, halo, grayscale impact time , the number of partitions 12 and so on.

1. Brightness and peak brightness

Measurement steps:

1.1 Adjust the MiniLED TV to the specified standard working state

1.2 Display a full white signal. After the signal display lasts for one minute, use a luminance meter to measure the luminance of point P0 in the center of the screen, and record the luminance value Lv

1.3 Display a 10% white window signal. After the signal display lasts for one minute, use a luminance meter to measure the luminance of point P0 in the center of the screen, and record the luminance value Lv1

1.4 Test 1%, 3%, 5%, 20%, 30%, and 40% according to step 1.3, and record them as Lv2, Lv3, Lv4, Lv5, Lv6, and Lv7

1.5 Select the maximum brightness value among Lv1, Lv2, Lv3, Lv4, Lv5, Lv6, and Lv7, which is the peak brightness Lv’

1.6 Record full white luminance Lv and peak luminance Lv’

2. Brightness uniformity

Measurement steps:

2.1 Adjust the MiniLED TV to the specified standard working state

2.2Mini LED TV displays full white signal, determine the number of partitions k (25 points)

2.3 Find the minimum and maximum Yi values, denoted as Ymin and Ymax respectively

2.4 Calculate brightness uniformity △Y according to the formula (△Y=Ymin/Ymax*100%)

2.5 Test results are expressed in %

3. Gray uniformity

Measurement steps:

3.1 Adjust the MiniLED TV to the specified standard working state, and at the same time adjust the brightness of the backlight to the maximum, and turn off the dynamic backlight and regional backlight control

3.2Mini LED TV displays 50% gray field signal, determine the number of partitions k (25 points)

3.3 Find the minimum and maximum Yi values, denoted as Ymin and Ymax respectively

3.4 Calculate brightness uniformity △Y according to the formula (△Y=Ymin/Ymax*100%)

3.5 The test results are expressed in %

4. Static contrast

Measurement steps:

4.1 Adjust the MiniLED TV to the specified standard working state

4.2 Display black and white window signals, measure the brightness values of L0, L1, L2, L3 and L4 respectively

If the black window brightness cannot be measured at this position, the brightness controller should be adjusted to measure the lowest brightness that the instrument can measure on the black window, and indicate it in the measurement result

4.3 Use the formula to calculate the static contrast Cr (Cr=L0/Lbw, Lbw is the average value of L1, L2, L3, L4)

5. White balance accuracy

Measurement steps:

5.1 Adjust the MiniLED TV to the specified standard working state, and at the same time adjust the backlight to the maximum, turn off the dynamic backlight and dynamic contrast

5.2 Display the full white field signal, measure the luminance and chromaticity coordinates (x, y) of P0 in the center of the screen with a luminance meter

Based on 50% of (x0, y0), calculate the difference between other gray levels (x, y) and (x0, y0)

5.3 Calculation formula △x', y'=x, y-x0, y0

6. Color gamut coverage

Measurement steps:

6.1 Adjust the MiniLED TV to the specified standard working state

6.2 Display the full red field test signal, and measure the chromaticity value (uR, yR) of point P0

6.3 Display the full green field test signal, and measure the chromaticity value (uG, vG) of P0 point

6.4 Display the full blue field test signal, and measure the chromaticity value (uB, vB) of point P0

6.5 Take the measured (uR, yR), (uG, vG) and (uB, vB) as vertices to form a triangle in the u-v chromaticity diagram, which represents the color gamut

6.6 Calculate the integral ratio of the triangular area of the measured color gamut and the triangular area formed by the primary color chromaticity coordinates specified in ITU-T BT.2020 according to the formula, which is the color gamut coverage.
