Infinix 24Y1 TV Review, 24 inch TV with Linux OS

Infinix has expanded its Y1 series of smart TVs in India. The brand launched the 32-inch and 43-inch Y1 TVs last year. The 24Y1 joins the lineup as the smallest and most affordable option. The Infinix 24Y1 is priced at INR 6,799 in India and the TV will be available on Flipkart from May 15.

Infinix 24Y1 TV Display​

The Infinix 24Y1 has a display with a diagonal of 24 inches and a resolution of 1366 x 768. The display panel offers a peak brightness of 250 nits. HLG support further enhances visuals with improved dynamic range. There's also an eye protection mode that reduces blue light to protect the viewer's eyes.

Infinix 24Y1 TV Audio​

In terms of audio, the TV has two 16W box-style speakers responsible for audio, Dolby tuning, and multiple sound modes to enhance the listening experience.

Infinix 24Y1 TV System Performance​

In terms of performance, the Infinix 24Y1 is powered by a quad-core processor with 512MB of RAM and 4GB of storage. On the software side, the Infinix 24Y1 runs the Linux operating system pre-installed. It has pre-installed apps for streaming online content. Amazon Prime Video, YouTube, SonyLiv, Zee5, ErosNow and AajTak apps are already installed on the Infinix 24Y1 TV. This means users don't need to download these apps to start streaming.

Infinix 24Y1 TV Connectivity​

In terms of connectivity, the Infinix 24Y1 offers its users multiple ports. It has two HDMI ports, two USB ports, RF in, AV in, headphone jack, COAX out, LAN and Wi-Fi connectivity options. The TV comes with a remote with hotkeys for Prime Video and YouTube for one-touch access.

Infinix 24Y1 TV Price​

The new model is similar in specs to the 32Y1 model, but the speaker has been downgraded from 20W to 16W. The 43Y1, on the other hand, has a 43-inch FHD display, 20W speakers, and Bluetooth connectivity. The 32Y1 is priced at INR 8,999 while the 43Y1 is priced at INR 13,999.
