Is Netflix better than Prime Video? Well, that depends. First of all, let us take a quick look of the latest data from Streaming Observer, which indicated that the Amazon Prime Video service has a database of 17,461 movies. This is 4.5 times that of Netflix's 3839 movies, while Hulu only has 2336 movies.
But what about the quality of these movies? It ’s great to have more content than competitors, but do users really want to watch any of these more than 17,000 movies? Maybe not, because although Netflix has 596 movies that get high recognition in Rotten Tomatoes, Prime Video only has 232, and Hulu only has 9.
In fact, Netflix has more freshness-certified movies than Prime Video, Hulu and HBO NOW. Nearly 16% of movies in Netflix have been well received by critics, while Amazon has only 1.3%.
