Data from research institutions show that LG Electronics’ OLED TV shipments have increased significantly in the third quarter of this year, with cumulative shipments exceeding 10 million units.

LG Electronics is currently the world's major OLED TV manufacturer. According to data from research institutions, in the third quarter of this year, LG Electronics sold nearly 900,000 OLED TVs, a year-on-year increase of 80%.

Research institutions said that in the third quarter of this year, global OLED TV shipments were 1.53 million units, and LG Electronics sold nearly 900,000 units, which means that LG Electronics' share of the OLED TV market in the third quarter was close to 60%.

The research institute also stated that the average selling price of LG Electronics' OLED TVs is US$1,863 per unit, which is 3 times that of LCD TVs. Calculated at an average selling price of US$1,863, LG Electronics’ revenue from OLED TVs in the third quarter exceeded US$1.6 billion.
