The giant Tencent recently announced the opening of a new studio LightSpeed LA dedicated to the development of video games. If initially this company mainly manages services linked to mobile and internet subscriptions, it now has a very important place in the gaming landscape since it owns, for example, Riot Games, but also shares in Activision Blizzard, Epic Games or Ubisoft .

Based in Orange County, Lightspeed LA will be led by Steve Martin, an industry veteran who notably worked at Rockstar Games on the behemoths GTA V and Red Dead Redemption 2. The man is committed to leading his team in an atmosphere of healthy work:

We usher in a new era of gaming culture by combining world-class development with a stress-free work environment
From day one, our teams will focus on creating high caliber games while promoting integrity, proactivity, collaboration and creativity
Lightspeed LA is currently working on an ambitious project, since it is an open world AAA for the Xbox Series X and PlayStation 5 . Many people have already joined the ranks of the studio, we are talking about talents from Insomniac, Rockstar, Respawn Entertainment or even 2K Games. If we should not expect to hear from the project for a long time, we still can't wait to see the direction it will take.
