According to insider information from Max Jambor, the OnePlus Watch 2 is set to hit the market in 2024, sporting a circular design. He also claims that the Watch 2 will deliver even better performance.

It's worth noting that OnePlus entered the smartwatch arena in March 2021 with the release of its first smartwatch, the OnePlus Watch. While it boasted excellent battery life and provided decent health data, it was criticized for its limited functionality and somewhat rough around the edges user experience. Over time, OnePlus did address many of the major issues, but the product was discontinued not long after its initial launch and hasn't seen any updates since early 2022.

In September, X user Max Jambor revealed that OPPO was developing a smartwatch with the codename "Star." This smartwatch is expected to have multiple variants, including the OWW231 for the Chinese market, OWWE231 for the global market, and an OPWWE231 variant under the OnePlus brand.

This smartwatch is reported to feature a resolution of 466 × 466 and is equipped with the Snapdragon W5+BES 2700 chipset. It comes with a wide range of features, including an electrocardiogram (ECG), always-on display, fist gesture recognition, eSIM support, blood oxygen measurement, stress tracking, sleep tracking, and exercise tracking.

The introduction of the OnePlus Watch 2 in 2024 is a promising development, building on the experience gained from its predecessor and aiming to deliver a more polished and feature-rich smartwatch. With these advancements, OnePlus is looking to make a stronger mark in the competitive smartwatch market and offer users a compelling wearable technology option.
