Matt MacLaurin, head of user experience design at PlayStation, gave some details on the new - and as yet undisclosed - interface that we will discover on PS5. On his LinkedIn profile , Matt MacLaurin answered questions from several internet users regarding the PS5 interface . He explains that it will be a "total overhaul of the PS4 interface with a few very different new concepts" . He adds: "Above all, the interface must be practical, but it introduces a completely new visual language and a complete overhaul of the architecture There are very few pixels left from the PS4. The most important thing is the fact that user experience goals are measured in milliseconds across the entire user interface . "

Matt MacLaurin also touched on the design of the PS5 itself. As for PS5 vs. PS4 according to him, "there will no doubt be special editions of the console" , described as being customizable in a new way compared to previous generations. "The customization of the special editions will surpass anything that has been seen before," he said.
The PS5 will be released at the end of 2020 in two versions: a classic edition with an integrated Blu-Ray player, and a Digital Edition that can only accommodate games for download. No price has been announced yet.
