Samsung is trying to make more affordable microLED products by switching to LTPS TFT panels - rather than the current PCB method. If all goes well, the tech giant will start producing 89/101/114-inch microLED panels in Q3.
Clearly, Samsung has found new ways to cut costs. For reference, the current 110-inch model costs around $130,000.
However, the three TVs that will be brought before the end of 2022 will still cost more than 100 million won (about $80,000).
In contrast, the Neo QLED TV lineup will remain cheaper than LTPS TFT micrOLED for a long time to come -- especially for the 101/114-inch large-screen microLED models around $90，000/100,000.
