Starting March 1, 2024, Samsung announced in a press release that it will no longer offer Google Assistant services for its televisions due to changes in Google's policies. This change applies to all 2022/2021 models of smart TVs as well as 2020's 8K/4K QLED TVs, Crystal UHD TVs, and Lifestyle TVs.

While Samsung did not provide specific details, some users speculate that this decision is linked to recent adjustments made by Google regarding Google Assistant. According to findings by IT Home, Google announced earlier this year that it would be removing or modifying certain features of Google Assistant.

However, users will still have access to Bixby and Amazon Alexa assistants after March 1st. Most Samsung TVs from 2020 to 2023 support Bixby and Amazon Alexa, allowing users to control various functions such as channel switching and volume adjustment.

Additionally, users can utilize the SmartThings app on their smartphones for TV control, enabling operations like channel changes and volume adjustments.
