What is projector side projection?

Projector side projection means that the light source projected by the projector does not have a vertical relationship with the curtain or white wall. Therefore, the screen after side projection is not rectangular and requires keystone correction to make the screen square and rectangular. This is why some models of projectors do not support the side projection function.

The direction of projector keystone correction can be divided into two main directions, vertical and horizontal. Most of the low-end projectors or portable projectors on the market now claim to support keystone correction, but in reality, they only have keystone correction in the vertical direction and do not support keystone correction in the horizontal direction. This also means that when the projector is placed to the left or right causing the screen to become trapezoidal, the projector screen cannot be corrected.
