7 operating systems of smart TV

Smart TVS are currently divided into eight operating systems: Android, Android TV, Apple TV, samsung Tizen, LG Web OS, Roku TV OS, Amazon Fire TV OS, and Windows10. Domestic smart TV is basically a deeply optimized TV system for Android TV.

1. The Android system

Android system was developed by Google, which is an open source mobile device operating system based on Linux. It adopts four architectures of application layer, application framework layer, system operation inventory layer and Linux kernel layer, and supports mainstream hardware platforms such as ARM, x86 and MIPS architectures.

2. tvOS

TvOS is based on iOS operating system and supports apple AirPlay technology. It will screen apple iPhone, iPad and other products on the TV. It does not support free installation of software.

3. Samsung Tizen System

Samsung Tizen is based on a Linux framework that combines samsung BADA and Intel MeeGo for use on smart TVS, phones, tablets, in-car systems and netbooks.

4. LG Web Operating System

LG Web OS was developed based on Palm OS. After its launch in 2009, it was successively acquired by HP and LG. Its interactive interface is smooth and easy to operate.

5. The Roku TV Operating System

Roku TV OS is based on Linux2.6, and its development language is BrightScript. It provides a free software development kit, which supports ARM and MIPS architectures. Android and Windows 8 devices can use the Roku screen mirroring technology to project device images onto the TV.

6. Amazon Fire TV Operating System

The Fire OS is based on Android and is compatible with Android version 4.2.2. It supports voice input and screen mirroring on Android mobile devices for its Fire TV, Kindle Fire, and Fire Phone devices.

7. Windows 10

Windows10 was released by Microsoft in 2015 and is suitable for Surface interactive display, Xbox multimedia game console, personal PC, smartphone, tablet and other devices.
