This projector isnt meant to be portable as its quite heavy and lacks an integrated battery, so you need to plug it in. The projector lacks auto keystone correction, so youll need to adjust the image geometry manually, and it also doesnt have autofocus. It does have two 10W speakers. This LCD projector uses a lamp as its light source, which can last from 3500 to about 5000 hours, according to the manufacturer, after which youll need to swap the lamp for a new one. Its not a true 4k projector, as it uses pixel shifting to create a higher-resolution image. This offers better quality than a pure 1080p projector but isn't as good as a native 4k projector.

Viewing Experience | The Epson HC3800 projector delivers an impressive overall performance with its excellent peak brightness, making it suitable for both bright and dimly lit environments. It showcases vibrant colors and uniform brightness, enhancing the viewing experience. The native contrast is commendable, particularly in dark settings, contributing to an engaging visual experience. While it handles the Rec. 709 color space with great accuracy, it does face challenges with the wider Rec. 2020 color space, offering a trade-off between saturation and accuracy. Overall, the HC3800 stands out for its bright, vibrant display and strong performance in varied lighting conditions. |

System Experience | The Epson Home Cinema 3800 is a solid projector that prioritizes performance over smart features. While it lacks a built-in smart OS and casting capabilities, it compensates with practical connectivity options, including a 2.0A DC Out USB port for powering external devices and a 12V trigger out port for seamless screen integration. The inclusion of two 10W speakers adds convenience for audio playback, although its Bluetooth support with aptX enhances audio quality for wireless connections. Overall, the Epson Home Cinema 3800 is well-suited for users who value straightforward functionality and robust performance in a home cinema setup. |
