The Streamer has been under the TV since launch and the two features I use daily are the boring ones. Not the Gemini summaries, not the curated rows, but the programmable button on the remote and Find My Remote.
That extra button can be pointed at the home panel, a specific app, or another input. Mine goes to the home panel, which means the camera feed at the front door is one press away instead of four. If you have a partner who watches one service and nothing else, pointing it straight at that app removes basically every complaint they have about the box. Cheap fix, big drop in support calls from the sofa.
Find My Remote gets mocked but the remote lives in couch cushions, and it has saved me a genuine ten minute search more than once. It also says something about how Google justifies the $99.99 price: a good share of what makes this better than an old dongle is physical, not software.
The AI content stuff I am less sold on. Season by season breakdowns and audience reviews are fine, but the thing that stops me watching something is rarely a lack of summary. It is that the show sits on a service I do not pay for, and no amount of curation fixes that.
