LG launched its latest OLED series at CES 2023, of which the LG G3 is its flagship 4K OLED TV, the successor to last year's LG G2. 2023's OLED evo features new and upgraded performance, so let's take a look at the differences and highlights of the LG G3 and G2.

The LG G3 and LG G2 are similar in design, both having a sleek and minimalist look. The LG G2 is part of the "Gallery Series", which by its name puts design first and has an artistic look.

Although LG has abandoned the "Gallery Series" naming convention this year, we still can't ignore its elegant design that looks like a painting. When you hang it on the wall with the G2 and G3's special wall mount, the TV's panel sits flush with the wall without any protrusions. The screen's housing is made of lightweight composite fiber, so it has a lighter weight.

You can also purchase a separate stand to set the TV on the floor, but wall mounting it on the wall seems to be a better option.

The LG G3's remote control is similar to the LG G2's, and while the remote is bulkier than other brands' smaller remotes, it's very usable with its scroll wheel and clickable screen cursor.

LG G3 VS LG G2: Picture Quality

The LG G2 OLED is the successor to the G1, bringing a brighter OLED TV. It features an OLED Evo panel that is 25% to 50% brighter than previous models, making it a very significant upgrade.

And the LG G3 will surprise us even more by promising to bring even brighter OLED. the G2 is powered by the Alpha 9 Gen 5 processor, while the G3 comes with the updated Alpha 9 Gen 6 processor. The new processor offers some upgrades to LG's AI Picture Pro and AI Sound Pro modes, which adjust the audiovisual output to your content.

LG G3 features Microlens Array technology, which passes a layer of microlenses in order to focus the light output from the screen pixels to the viewer. The new OLED TV can reduce power consumption while increasing the brightness output of colleagues. Both TVs feature 4K image quality and are compatible with HLG, HDR10 and Dolby Vision HDR standards.

LG G3 VS LG G2: Sound Quality

The LG G3 is understood to be equipped with the same audio system as the LG G2 OLED, with 4.2-channel 60W speakers providing multiple sound modes. The new Alpha 9 Gen 6 processor also brings AI Sound Pro intelligence to the G3, simulating virtual 9.1.2 surround sound.
