AMD CEO Lisa Su reiterated during the second quarter's conference call that the PS5 and XSX will go on sale as planned for the Christmas holidays of 2020.
"As we ramp up production to support the new PS5 and XSX release during the holiday season, we expect semi-custom revenue to increase in the second quarter and face heavy pressure in the second half of the year," Lisa Su said at the conference. From this we can infer that the next generation console will still be released at the end of the year as originally planned.
As we reported earlier, Rick Bergman, executive vice President of Computing and Graphics at AMD, spoke at an earlier financial analysis session, where he noted that the next generation console would still be available by Christmas 2020.
