If you hear echoes, it is often from the person who is speaking not from the person who heard echoes. The following situations may cause echo or noise during playing:

The microphone detects ambient noise. This includes sound transmission from headphones.

The headphone plug is not fully plugged into the controller.

You're using the Xbox One wireless controller and the battery is low.

If you or other players hear echoes or other noises while playing the game, try the following:

Reduce the volume on your device's audio output.

Disconnect the headset and then reconnect it securely to the controller's extension port.

Be careful not to pull the earphone cable up when removing it from the controller. Instead, remove the headset from the controller by pulling up the main body of the headphone plug.

Clean the plug in the headphone cable with a clean cloth and reconnect the headphone to the controller.

Test the headset by connecting it to another controller.

If you are using the Xbox One wireless controller, replace the AA battery or recharge the Xbox One rechargeable battery.
