Samsung has launched a standing TV called The Sero. Samsung Sero has a 43-inch quantum dot LED panel that can also be flipped to a normal horizontal screen. Consumers can flip it 90 degrees, allowing you to view Instagram, Snap and other smartphone videos in its original vertical configuration. In horizontal mode, it can be used as a regular TV.

Samsung Sero has a 4.1-channel 60W speaker that can be controlled by samsung's virtual assistant, Bixby. You can pair the TV with the NFC and sync and mirror the content from the phone to the TV.

"Samsung will continue to roll out screens that respect the tastes of individual consumers," said han jong-hee, President of samsung visual displays. "We're going to bring different types of screens and different user experiences right out of the box."

Samsung says it can be used to play a variety of online music services, such as samsung music and music stored on smartphones. When the user is not watching TV, "vertical" can be used to display photos, clocks, sound walls, etc.

Samsung Sero will go on sale in South Korea in May for as much as $16,300. A similar stand-up TV, the TCL XESS, costs less than $1, 000, which makes you wonder where Samsung Sero is going to improve.
