According to Korean media, the new Switch is expected corresponding to the release of PS5 and Xbox Series X which may be in 2021. While not expected to feature the same light-sensing tracking or 8K resolution like the PS5, the new Switch is expected to include basic performance improvements such as a 64GBSSD, faster NVIDIA processor, two USB type-c ports and 4K resolution.
According to current information, the new Switch will not be positioned as a truly redesigned "second generation," but rather as a relatively minor redesign, like the PS4 is to the PS4 Pro. It's estimated to cost $399. $100 more than the current Switch.
Nintendo will produce 22 million Switches by March 2021, up 10% from the same period last year. For the second quarter of this year, the stock volume is 50% higher than the original plan. Although the supply of Switch has been improved, the whole supply is still not on the right track.
