LG C2 vs. C1: Appearance Design

There are obvious cosmetic differences between the C1 and C2. the 2011 model C1's main feature is the pronounced base lip, although it's not particularly elegant.

The 2022 LG C2 replaces this with a more traditional central stand. the LG C2 features a slimmer bezel with its OLED glass design. The rear panel is also very different, with the LG C2 being more streamlined and neat.

LG C2 vs C1: Gaming Performance

Starting with gaming performance, there shouldn't be much difference between the two models. the OLED C1 series is known for its high-end gaming performance, and the C2 includes many of the same features as its predecessor.

The new LG C2 will come with a host of new and enhanced Game Optimizer features that allow you to tailor your visual experience to your exact needs and reduce eye strain. In addition, the C2 Series will now feature four HDMI 2.1 ports, providing 48Gbps of bandwidth. This is a small but recognized improvement over the 40Gbps of the C1.

Of course, both C1 and C2 OLED TVs are equipped with key performance features such as ALLM (Automatic Low Latency Mode), VRR for FreeSync and G-Sync systems, and HGIG.
2022 LG C2 vs 2021 LG C1: Picture Quality

The LG C2 offers major advantages in terms of picture quality. there are clear differences between the two models, the LG C2 and C1. On the one hand, the 2021 C2 is classified as an OLED Evo screen, which means it combines a new generation of brighter OLED panels with LG's advanced image processing technology, especially the new 5th generation Alpha 9 processor.

Thanks to the premium Evo OLED panel, the LG C2 OLED will deliver excellent picture quality. the Evo OLED panel makes the C2 brighter overall which is an important factor for daytime viewing and HDR performance.

However, LG will retain Evo OLED panel technology for the 55-inch and above models, while the 42-inch and 48-inch models have OLED panels very similar to last year's C1.

2022 LG C2 vs 2021 LG C1: Audio Quality
The latest LG C2 will feature the new AI Sound Pro virtual upmix technology, capable of creating 7.1.2 channels - an increase over last year's LG C1 5.1.2.

With 2.2ch 40W speakers, the C1 delivers decent audio in most situations. The audio performance sounds immersive, open and surprisingly great cinematic feel to say the least when playing movies, TV and games.

2022 LG C2 vs 2021 LG C1: Smart Features

The LG C1 is a fantastic TV, thanks largely to the impressive webOS 6.0 smart TV platform at its core. the LG C2 and C1 have similar smart features. For example, they both run LG's webOS platform and are controlled using Magic Remote. Streaming apps are widely supported, including Netflix, Prime Video, Disney+ and Rakuten TV, with support for Google Assistant and Alexa. But the C2 comes with webOS22 out of the box, which adds user profiles to the smart experience, so you can get your personal favorite content faster.

The 2022 C2 has made advances in both performance and design. It's significantly brighter overall, making it a better choice for a living room TV All things considered, the C2 looks like a big improvement over the C1. [...] But the LG C1 is also a good investment at current prices.
