Saw someone asking about converting a two channel room to 5.1.4 with a scope screen and it is a question worth more than a shopping list, because the screen decides most of it before you buy a single speaker.
With a 2.35 screen you have two options for the centre and neither is free. Acoustically transparent screen means the centre goes behind the picture at ear height, tonally matched with the mains, exactly where it should be. It also means paying considerably more for the screen, dealing with the moire risk depending on the weave and your projector's pixel structure, and accepting that some light is going through the material rather than coming back at you. Or you put the centre below the screen, angled up, and spend the next year fighting the fact that dialogue comes from a different height than faces do. Most people go under the screen because of the money and then quietly wonder why voices sound detached.
The other thing that catches stereo converts is that going to 5.1.4 means the front three should match. Two lovely towers plus whatever centre was in stock is a worse room than three modest matched speakers. Pans across the front are where mismatches show up first.
Heights are the easy bit by comparison. Four in the ceiling, front pair ahead of the seats, rear pair behind, and do not chase perfect angles at the cost of a joist you cannot cut.
If you had the same budget again, would you spend it on the AT screen or on a second sub?
