LED projectors are becoming popular these days. The new technology of LED light is a breakthrough tech and they can eventually mass-market it so we finally get rid of color wheel and bulbs for good. PJ Users believed that the major weak points of DLP projectors are the color wheel and the limited life of a bulb.
At some point in time, the LED light engine was looking as the bright future.

So how many lumens is enough for daytime use?

First of all, LED are Light Emitting Diodes that are used in projectors as a light/color source. Typically in lower end products they aren't very bright but they have good color reproduction. For example, 1000 is low if you plan on using this in a lit room, this is more oriented to darker rooms but you could possibly use it if you choose but don't expect to have a bright image. If you're using a projector in a bright room, I'd recommend laser based UST projectors or a bright bulb based projector. There are some LED projectors that are brighter but they are expensive starting off at around $2500 and up for 2000 lumens and brighter.

However, now we might have an new option: a 2050 lumens LED projector under $750. It offers a crisp 1080p HDR picture, impressive 2,050 ANSI lumens, with 4GB + 64GB of large storage, support for automatic sensorless focus and automatic keystone correction, MEMC motion compensation up to 120Hz frames, should last you 30,000 hours before the image starts to degrade.
