in many cases a classic matte white screen (usually 1.0 gain) is the most natural choice. When you can completely darken your room with blackout curtains or a basement setup, a white screen delivers accurate color reproduction, wide viewing angles, and balanced brightness. It does not alter the image tone and gives you what the projector outputs, pure and neutral.
