LG has unveiled its 2024 OLED TV lineup, introducing the LG M4 Wireless TV, along with the latest iterations of the standard OLED product line, including G4, C4, and B4. The official pricing and release dates have not been confirmed by LG yet, but industry observers anticipate these new LG TV models to hit the market around March or April, with a showcase at CES 2024 from January 9th to 12th.

LG M4, the Flagship Model

Positioned as the flagship, the LG M4 makes its debut with a 65-inch version (ranging from 65 inches to 97 inches), supporting 4K 144Hz wireless video and audio transmission. Equipped with the latest α (Alpha) 11 AI processor, it significantly enhances picture and audio quality. Compared to its predecessor, the graphic performance has improved by 70%, and processing speed has increased by 30%.

The TV comes with a Zero Connect box that can be placed separately at a distance from the TV. This box replaces the TV's input interfaces, enabling the possibility of a "wireless TV." The box includes HDMI 2.1, USB, and RF interfaces, supporting WiFi and Bluetooth connections.

Additionally, the WOWCAST wireless feature of the α11 AI processor supports lossless transmission of Dolby Atmos signals to compatible LG speakers, eliminating the need for audio connection cables.

Other features of this series include AI Sound Pro audio technology, built-in virtual 11.1.2 surround sound, VESA ClearMR certification, compatibility with NVIDIA G-SYNC and AMD FreeSync, and various interfaces including HDMI 2.1.

LG G4

The LG G4 also features the α11 AI processor, similar brightness performance to the M4, supporting a 144Hz refresh rate, and the same wireless audio WOWCAST feature.

Moreover, the LG G4 adopts the Micro Lens Array (MLA) technology introduced in the previous model, and it will support a larger 83-inch model (note: the 83-inch LG G3 did not have MLA).

LG C4

Positioned as a mid-range OLED TV, the LG C4 will be equipped with the α9 AI processor, supporting a 144Hz refresh rate, and promising higher brightness and gaming experience compared to the C3.

LG B4

The LG B4 serves as the entry-level model for LG's 2024 OLED TV lineup, featuring the α8 AI processor, comparable in performance to the older α9 processor (LG C3). Additionally, it offers four HDMI 2.1 interfaces and introduces a 48-inch version for the first time.

In a noteworthy announcement, LG has stated its commitment to delivering the latest webOS upgrades to existing LG Smart TV users, applicable to 2022 OLED TVs and 2022 QNED Mini LED 8K TVs, with plans to extend support to more LG TVs globally, providing continuous webOS upgrades for five years.
