Netflix has recently begun sending notifications to users who pay their subscription fees through the Apple App Store. If they want to continue using Netflix's services, they must update their payment method.

The support website for Netflix has also been updated with some terms confirming the above changes:

"Netflix billing through Apple is no longer available for new or rejoining members.

Some Apple-billed members in select countries may be prompted to add a new payment method to continue their subscription. (Note: Netflix Gift Cards cannot be used to restart these accounts.)"

Specific countries and regions affected by these changes have not yet been identified, but it is known that at least the US market is included. This move will completely remove Netflix from the payment system of the Apple App Store, no longer paying Apple a certain percentage of revenue.

As early as 2018, Netflix began testing new payment methods to bypass Apple iTunes payments. At that time, Netflix was one of the highest-grossing apps in the Apple App Store. Before this, the Swedish streaming music service provider Spotify also took similar actions, migrating subscription users from iTunes payments to other payment methods.
