In the first half of the fiscal year, Nintendo's entire lineup of Switch consoles experienced a 2.4% year-on-year growth in sales, totaling 6.84 million units. The breakdown of these figures shows that the standard Nintendo Switch sold 1.25 million units, the OLED version reached 4.69 million units, and the portable-friendly Switch Lite sold 900,000 units. On the software side, total sales saw a 1.8% year-on-year growth, amounting to 97.08 million copies sold.

The release of new titles in the first half of the fiscal year saw remarkable success. Notably, "The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild 2," which was launched in May, sold an impressive 19.5 million copies, while "Pikmin 4," released in July, reached 2.61 million copies sold.

These impressive results have led Nintendo to revise its full-year performance forecast. The company now predicts that its revenue will reach 5 trillion yen, higher than its initial projection of 4.5 trillion yen. Sales are also expected to hit 15.8 trillion yen, compared to the previous estimate of 14.5 trillion yen. For the remainder of the fiscal year, Nintendo anticipates selling 185 million copies of Switch games, up from the initial estimate of 180 million, and they still forecast selling 15 million units of the Switch hardware.
