Sony highlights that as the PS5 enters its third year in the market, it continues to make significant strides. Developers have maximized the potential of this console's advanced technology, delivering lightning-fast loading speeds, graphics enhanced by ray tracing, and an innovative tactile experience through the DualSense controller.
In terms of specifications, the PS5 series features an AMD custom 8-core Zen 2 CPU clocked at 3.5GHz, coupled with an AMD GPU based on the custom RDNA2 architecture. It supports an impressive 10.28 teraflops of processing power, 8K resolution, 120Hz output, 3D audio, and comes equipped with a high-speed 825GB SSD. Notably, it maintains backward compatibility with PS4 games. The PS5 Slim version has reduced dimensions by over 30%, and its weight has seen reductions of 18% and 24%. Despite these changes, it retains the same custom CPU and GPU as the PS5, along with a 1TB SSD.

Sony's announcement underscores the ongoing success of the PS5, showcasing its popularity and the continued demand for cutting-edge gaming experiences. As the console market evolves, the PS5 remains a prominent player, delivering a combination of powerful hardware and innovative features to meet the expectations of gaming enthusiasts worldwide.
