Valerion has pushed its Anti-RBE processing out to the rest of the premium long-throw range, so VisionMaster Pro, Pro 2, StreamMaster Plus and Plus 2 all get it at no cost. It needs the latest Android software plus a DLP software upgrade underneath, so it is not a one-tap thing. The feature started on the VisionMaster Max, and the company line is that it raises the refresh rate and blends the colour sequences fast enough that your eye stops resolving the flashes.
The number that caught me in the announcement is the split they quote: around 60% of viewers report little or no sensitivity, and the remaining 40% find rainbows distracting. That is a manufacturer figure and I would treat it as one, but the shape of it matches what happens in a real room. One person watches a whole hockey broadcast and never mentions anything, the next cannot stop seeing red and green fringes every time the puck crosses dark ice. Single-chip DLP has carried this since the colour wheel days, and triple-laser designs already cut it down a lot. Their own CTO says exactly that in the release, which makes this a refinement rather than a rescue.
What the notes do not say is what it costs. Raising refresh and adding processing usually shows up somewhere, whether that is input lag, motion artefacts or peak output, and nothing in the release addresses any of it. Free is free and I would take it. I would also run a scene I know well before and after rather than trusting the toggle.
