AVPro Global and the ISF have put out the 2026 dates for the calibration workshop at their lab in St. Petersburg, Florida. Four sessions, running March 31 to April 2, June 9 to 11, August 18 to 20, and November 10 to 12. The change this year is that you can now attend the manufacturer days without doing the certification day.
Here is the bit that made me look twice. The full three-day ISF certification course is $999, which is normal money for a trade course that carries AVIXA and CEDIA credits. But the factory technical sessions on days two and three, run by people from Epson, Barco, JVC, madVR and Stewart Filmscreen, are being sold separately at $39 for one day and $69 for two. That is not a trade price, that is a rounding error. A day in a room with a JVC factory specialist and a madVR specialist, with real projectors and screens in front of you, for less than the cost of a test disc and a colorimeter cable.
It is obviously aimed at integrators who already calibrate and want the product-specific training. But nothing I can see says a determined hobbyist cannot book the cheap days, and if you own a JVC or you are wrestling with a madVR Envy, that is a lot of direct access for the money. The catch is Florida, so unless you are within driving distance the flights and a hotel are the real cost, not the ticket.
