Based on DC comics, Justice League Dark: Apokolips War (2020) is surprisingly good as a reversal of the last few dc animation films. At the very least, the film is ambitious and, within its means, an attempt to break even, killing as much as the ‘Game of Thrones’. The catch is that such a grand narrative cannot be fully unfolded in an hour and a half, and many characters disappear before being chewed. Perhaps a miniseries would be better?
